A crown can come to the rescue when a tooth has sustained moderate to severe decay or an injury.

The crown we create for your tooth will be made with the finest materials and appear completely natural as part of your smile.

What is a crown?

A crown is a restorative element that caps over the top of an aesthetically and functionally impaired tooth. It’s made to look just like your existing teeth.

FAQs

Will chewing feel normal again with my crown?

A strong adhesive is used to ensure the crown remains in place over the compromised tooth. This means there won’t be any movement when you chew. In fact, chewing with your crown will feel just like chewing with your natural teeth.

What else are crowns used for?

We use crowns to create dental bridges, and to fit over the top of a dental implant. The crown provides the functional elements your mouth needs to chew and bite and becomes the tooth-like portion that gives you a full and natural-looking smile.

We also use crowns to strengthen a tooth after root canal treatment has been carried out.

A tooth crown fell out over a w/e. I rang my dentist's on the monday, & was given an appointment on the day following.Dr Mohan checked out the tooth, put on a temporary crown & gave care advice.I have since had a checkup & also received encouragement, as always, about the care of my teeth. Hello,My 13 year old daughter had her first 2 teeth taken out by the dentist, Vignesh Mohan. She had never experienced anything like that and, I thought, it would be quite traumatic for her. Vignesh was gentle, understanding and made her feel comfortable with the anaesthetic injections and the extractions of the two teeth.I wanted to congratulate him and his assistant for making a tricky situation go smoothly and made my daughter feel good about the whole thing.The receptionists always have a smile on their faces and are very welcoming.Many thanks,Monica+ Ariana

I have been receiving dental care from Priory House for approximately 30 years and at each appointment for a checkup or treatment it has been very thorough with a diagnosis of any procedure clearly explained with cost. This dentist surgery is all that a dentist should be. In my experience it runs efficiently, to time and I still have an NHS dentist there. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The dentist, although he/she has changed over the years, has kept my teeth on track with a six monthly appointment. Rachel the hygienist is very thorough and I leave feeling well looked after.
